Have you heard of Crowdtap?  It's an opinion polling website where you give your opinion on different matters to help brands determine their target markets.

One of the best things about Crowdtap is their sample and share promotions.  I've participated in a couple of these - last year I got a free pair of work out pants for me and 3 friends at Old Navy. This time, the sample and share was for an Old Navy swimsuit!

My friend B and I went to Old Navy after our coaching class finished up one night to do our shopping. One thing I noticed is that it was the middle of June and the selection was fairly well picked over in the regular swimsuit aisle.  I had wanted to try on a cute ruched halter bikini top, but they were sold out in my size.  All that was left was an XS and L-XXL. B ended up picking out a super cute halter top tankini.  As we were walking to the fitting room, I saw that the staff had pulled out their "patriotic" swimwear.  In that display I found the suit that I ended up taking home with me.

I love every part of this bikini.  The gingham print is darling and while I was nervous about the ruffly/skirt portion, it is extremely flattering.  Thanks Old Navy!

Here we go again!

Here we go again!  Five years ago we bought a piece of property with the hopes of using it to build a home.  We started small, building a 950 square foot house; one that we planned to later transform into a garage.

Four years later we are ready to start again.  As with the first time, the husband will be doing the lion's share of the manual labor, hiring out only the parts that are to time consuming to do on our own.  Once we close on our builders loan, we have just one year to complete construction.

This weekend, the husband brought home a mini excavator to "get things ready" for the foundation crew to come in.  Somehow that turned into digging the foundation in two days.  Considering the foundation crew estimated excavation at $3500 and the husband completed it for under $600 in equipment rentals, I'll take it!
